The Mountain Gorilla habitat is the newest permanent addition the the Noah's Ark at the Skirball exhibit which opened in 2007. Each Gorilla is meant to be interacted with by way of grooming, cuddling, and being gentle. Gorilla hands have articulated and sprung fingers so visitors can feel their gentle strength. Human families can gather inside and visit with the Gorilla family, find quietude, or even take a nap. Design and fabrication: C. Green. Carved heads: Eric Novak. Softgoods: Erin Wilson.
